At those inputs, the session pays back in ~7 days. After that, the savings compound monthly.

How this is calculated: manual hrs/wk × team size × automation % × 4.33 wks/mo = hours saved monthly. Multiply by hourly rate for dollar value. Payback = session cost ÷ monthly $ saved. Conservative, doesn't count quality improvements, error reduction, retention gains from less tedious work, or compounding from automations that build on each other.

How the math works

You enter team size, a loaded hourly rate, and roughly how many hours a week go into the repetitive written work: drafting, replying, summarising, formatting. The calculator applies a conservative recovery rate to those hours and compares the result against the cost of a session, which gives you a payback period in weeks rather than a vague promise of efficiency.

Conservative is doing real work in that sentence. The assumed time recovery is deliberately lower than most vendor calculators use, because the number that matters is the one that survives contact with a normal week: interruptions, revisions, and the tasks where a model produces something you have to rewrite anyway.

When the answer is no

If your team is small and the repetitive writing is genuinely a couple of hours a week, the payback period will be long and the honest conclusion is to skip it. The calculator will show you that rather than hiding it, which is the entire reason to run the numbers before buying anything.
